Drawing on metaphors of deep geologic time, mythology, and the profound forces of nature, Douglas Boyce’s TETHYS is a far-reaching and virtuosic concertino written for c)i violinist Miranda Cuckson, presented here in its world premiere. LAY DOWN YOUR BURDEN by Kyle Bartlett is an austerely beautiful meditation on the power of memory, receiving its American premiere. Ryan Streber is represented by SHADOW ETUDES, explorations of shadow and shadowing written for c)i musicians Benjamin Fingland and Jessica Meyer.
