counter)induction’s anniversary celebration will present favorite works from c)i’s ten years of exploration and commissions, while looking forward to new works and new composers, through the commissioning of Eric Moe and the performance of the winning work in our 2nd Biennial Composition Competition. Featured works will a new viola sonata by Douglas Boyce for c)i violist Jessica Meyer and a new work by Kyle Bartlett for the complete c)i quintet, as well as two ensemble favorites, Lee Hyla’s Ciao Manhattan and Salvatore Sciarrino’s extraordinary Centauro Marino.
