2022 - 2023 Season

After the strange times of the pandemic (which brought c)i's first film, counter)induction:nueva música, to life, and the 2021 Soapbox Gallery residency), this season finds c)i on the road, connecting and reconnecting with old friends and finding new connections, performing works that cross centuries and suggest new sounds to come. The season starts at University of Maryland - Baltimore County (October 22nd) with works by Trevor Weston, Tania Leon, Ileana Perez Velazquez, Wang Lu, and Kyle Bartlett. On January 28th, we'll be at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh for a program of music by Amy Williams, Kyle Bartlett, Eric Moe, and Suzanne Sorkin, a world premiere from Eric Chasalow, and Ars Poetica, a work by Douglas Boyce and poet Marlanda Dekine. At the end of March, we'll have a cluster of events in the mid-Atlantic, performing at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and in DC at the Textile Museum and the George Washington University. There are also 'c)i performances' of Farrenc, Brahms, and Boyce at St. Andrew's Academy, Delaware (December) and in Red Bank, NJ (April), in a program that links conventional masters with the inimitable excellence of c)i.
